Popular Comic actor, Hafiz Oyetoro aka Saka whose office in Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education Otto Awori, in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State got burnt down this month, February has debunked report making waves that it was as a result of spiritual attack.

Reacting to the report, Saka said : “I don’t believe it has to do with spiritual attack. I was not the only person affected by the incident. Offices of eight lecturers were burnt by the fire. I don’t think anything should be attached to it. That is life; life is full of challenges. You don’t dwell on bad occurrences.

As far as I am concerned, it has happened and there is nothing anybody can do about it. I only pray that God gives me the courage to go ahead and I am willing to go ahead. I thank God that no life went with it. My family is intact. The only thing is that I lost some property to the fire. I take it as one of the distractions of life.”

The MTN Ambassador who lectures at the Theatre Arts Department of the school lost valuables and properties worth millions of naira to the fire which was said to have started mysteriously on Thursday night, razing the entire Theatre Arts Department.

Although he’s devastated, he’s grateful to God no live was lost saying “What can I say, other than to thank God for the gift of life, because no live was lost in the inferno.

While lamenting on the documents lost he said: “I also lost my promotion letter, most painful was the fact that I was to submit some important documents for some international engagements but now this may not happen as the documents have also been lost to the inferno.

There are some that can never be retrieved like the research works that got burnt, tapes, laptops with vital information and contents, but I know God is in control,” he said.

Meanwhile the cause of the fire incident is not yet known, Saka however said, “a committee has been set up by the management of the school to find out the cause.”

A friend of late singer Zara, Yemisi Ilo, who also has Multiple Sclerosis (MS) stated that Zara’s death is on the hands of her family.

Ilo, a creative consultant with many years experience in books/magazine publishing, film production, said she spoke with Zara on Tuesday. And Zara told Ilo that family gave her ‘Agbo’ to drink and that it was killing her. According to Ilo, it was her exact words.

Yemisi Ilo strictly forbid Zara to drink Agbo. “With an already compromised immune system – Agbo is bullshit. It is poison. MS is not malaria,” Ilo said.

Ilo continued: “I gave Zara clear details of exactly what she needed to do to try to get well. It isn’t easy AT ALL – I should know but unfortunately for her, she was surrounded by very ignorant people at the end who felt that they knew best.”

Yemisi Ilo heard about Zara for the first time when she read her on Linda Ikeji’s blog a year ago. She got in touch with her and started a Skype friendship. “I was in London and she was in the States (US). We spoke regularly. When I went back to Lagos, we would WhatsApp and I would call her. When she came to Nigeria in October last year, I went to see her and she was surprised that she could move better than me! I organized the Battabox interview (which we did at my parents house). She said she didn’t want to live with her mum in the States – yet she had no one to look after her there apart from her mum. She needed someone. She even wanted to come and stay with me, but I am married with small children and my own MS issues were already enough for one house,” Ilo said.

Zara’s friend expressed her irritation: “I am so pissed off, so angry, so fucking sad, teary and frustrated. If I had been in Nigeria, I would have gone to pick her up on Tuesday when I spoke to her. She was so desperate to leave Ogba. She said she had a return ticket to America and would try to leave ASAP. I gave her my neurologist’s number so she could get some steroids to help her get over the horrible relapse she was having. Also to get her to explain the condition to Zara’s family so they would realize that this was not an ‘Agbo’ matter.”

“I have had MS for nearly 10 years. My walking has deteriorated and I am currently alternating between a walker and a wheelchair. Zara was worried that she wouldn’t get married and have kids – I told her that I had 4 kids and was happily married and continued to work and that there was hope.

“Granted, I am extremely fortunate to have the strength of character and a loving and supportive and enlightened family to deal with this HORRIBLE condition that has led to this opportunity for me to undergo Hemapioetic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT) – Google it. It has taken donations from over 100 people to do this. It costs over $150k (N24,727,501). I told Zara that since she was a US citizen, she could get on a trial at the University of Chicago under Dr. Burt for free. I just want people to know that MS didn’t kill Zara – ignorance did. As well as our fatalistic attitude in Nigeria where everyone prays and no one takes action.”

Last year, it was rumoured Dbanj wanted to sign Olamide to his DB record label but the deal didn’t pull through..He told encomium why

“There was nothing like that. Dbanj is a big brother. He gives me advice when necessary, and he also respects me for the efforts I have put into the industry. And we do low key business together too. He advises me a lot about the industry. People just hear things and they get it twisted
I would have accepted it, if it was years back. But now, I think I am blessed and good. All I need to do is to help myself, others and the artistes with me.”

A wise girl saw some of her male classmates plucking mangoes. She pleaded for one, but they refused and asked her to climb. She climbed and plucked as many as possible. When she got home, her mother asked, “My dear, how did you get all these mangoes?” She replied, “I asked my classmates to give me, they refused and told me to climb. So, I climbed the tree and plucked them.”

The mother shouted and said, “Foolish girl, didn’t you know that they wanted to see your pant?” The girl smiled and said, “I know mama, that’s why I removed it before climbing.”

This article is for men and it discusses what they need to know about this all-important female body part — the vagina (also called the birth canal). This is a no-holds-barred health information supplement for you. If you cannot deal with such details, then please stop reading now. If you can, just lie back and enjoy.

Exercise

There have been many articles attesting to the joys of regular sex and its many health benefits. In fact, one article recommended that women should go to bed without knickers in order to air out the vagina during sleep. Men like that, as it sends the ‘right’ signals. It is also nice to perhaps have a late night shower!

A comedian once said that the best adornment to wear for it is ‘specticles.’ And if you are taking it out for exercise, you should ensure it is in pretty good shape and looking fine.

Many men prefer a shaved vagina and I do prescribe it for you. It is important in order to enjoy the act of sex: visually, geographically and maximally as P-Square would say. Further, you should use all your senses when in front of the vagina and do not just be ruled by your ‘brain!’ Be in tune with all the different sensory stimuli from your partner.

Smell

I won’t go into any sordid details, but you need to appreciate the smell of the vagina you are interacting with. This is from the health point of view. The vagina should smell fresh and natural without insulting the nostrils. Odd smells reminiscent of the fish joint or ‘mama put’ bukateria should be frowned upon. Insist on an open discussion and an explanation before further events. Discuss the issue of discharges, even menstrual flow and infection openly with your partner and show you care. Of course, you care about the health and wellbeing of both of you.

Let’s make one important point about cleanliness of the vagina. Douching is washing or cleaning out the vagina with water or other mix¬tures of fluids. It is not recommended and appears to cause more harm than good. The vagina has its own resident bacteria which the normal acidity of the vagina keeps under control. But douching can change this delicate balance. This may make a woman more prone to vaginal infections. Plus, douching can spread existing vaginal infections up into the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.

Sight

Visual inspection and admiration of the vagina enhances sexual intercourse. It is also of real health benefit. Look for rash, cold sores and blisters which may indicate scabies or even herpes. Be aware of vaginal discharges, including bleeding during sex. Evaluate the discharge or secretions from the vagina for normality.

For example, cervical cancer causes odd, smelly discharges, bleeding and pain during sex. Ask questions about routine assessments by the doctor and encourage your partner to seek help. I think that every household should have their own gynaecologist/obstetrician. Learn to share!

Everyone should be appalled by female genital mutilation (FGM) as still practised in some parts of Nigeria. Should you know of anyone who believes in this criminal act, please kindly report them to the police. FGM spoils the beauty of the vagina and should be abolished forever.

Sound

Some vaginas make noise as if you are on a joke fart pillow. And some others make a sloshing sound due to so much vaginal secretions or perhaps a poor fit. You decide. It could be that you need a penile enlargement or maybe she needs a tailor. I know a good one!

Is sex painful for your partner? All that exercise too much for the vagina to take? It might not be down to your own physical fitness and prowess. Painful sex can be due to bacterial vaginosis, vaginitis, vaginismus and rough sex. Listen to your partner for sounds of joy and not cries of pain.

Touch

It takes time, practice and an anatomy lesson to appreciate the feel of the vagina and navigate your way to all the hot spots without using Global Positioning Satellite. Most of the vagina is erogenous but a combination of touches and feel allow you to discover what works for your partner.

The G-spot is one of those favourite places that many men look for. It’s one of the wonders of the world and worth revisiting time and time again. Once you find it in the vagina, your woman becomes or can become putty in your hands.  Please don’t ask me where it is!

NB: Whatever became of the advocacy against the abusive practice of sexual exploitation of babies/girls from poor families by men old enough to be their grandfathers? What was achieved? Has this paedophilia stopped or abated? Just a question!

What men should know about women’s privates

Adamawa State Governor Murtala Nyako on Sunday said President Goodluck Jonathan  had  once again demonstrated a lack of humility in his approach to issues.

Nyako was reacting to Jonathan’s comment at  the North-East rally of the Peoples Democratic Party  on Saturday, that the abdication of the responsibility of providing primary and secondary  education by  the governors in the zone  was responsible  for the Boko Haram insurgency.

Jonathan  had said, “It is shameful for a governor who has stayed in power in his state for up to six years or more, to come to me and talk about bad leadership when you have youths in your state, more than half of whom have not attended primary school and you are doing nothing about it.

“State governors should be ashamed of themselves when our children do not go to primary and secondary schools and they decide to carry arms.”

But Nyako, through  his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Mr. Ahmad Sajo, said it was unfortunate that the President had chosen once again, to blame everybody but himself, for things going wrong  under his leadership.

According to him, blaming  governors for his failure to do the right things , is not a mark of good leadership.

He said “We wish to draw the attention of the President to the fact that over 800 classroom blocks were destroyed in Borno State.

“Over 2,000 classroom blocks were destroyed in Yobe State, including those belonging to the Federal Government. Recently, some classrooms were destroyed in Adamawa State as well.

“Several schools were damaged and closed down in the affected states including Federal Government colleges even though the President said his government had no responsibility for secondary education.

“The President’s persistent refusal to visit the affected states could be interpreted to mean an abdication of his constitutional responsibility to cater for the welfare and safety of the people of the zone.

“If he could go to Bauchi State on a political jamboree, why not visit Borno and Yobe states as part of his constitutional responsibility?”

The governor said if there was  any proof of bad governance, it would  be located in the way and manner the President executes his priorities and the kind of statements he and his spokespersons make.

Governors, he said, could not be held responsible for security challenges since they had  no control over the nation’s  security apparatus.

“The President is the Commander-in-Chief with powers over the Armed Forces, Police and other security agencies. On the issue of education, the President is either being misled or is totally ignorant,” he added.

The governor also challenged Jonathan to tell the world what his administration had  done to improve Adamawa State since he assumed office.

The Governor of Borno State, Kashim Shettima, however said he did  not want to join issues with the President.

His Special Adviser on Media, Malam Isa Gusau, explained that the President must have been misquoted because, he had  a grasp of what the issues were.

He said, “If you will recall, the Minister of Special Duties who met some of the Boko Haram members, announced that he  spoke  with First Class graduates, who are  adherents of Boko Haram.

“There are many who dropped out of school to join the Boko Haram, there are also  graduates among them who tore their certificates.

“So, it is not about education per se. We believe that the President understands the issues and must have been misquoted in this case.”

Bayern Munich do have weaknesses, ones that Manchester United manager David Moyes says his side will target on Tuesday.

United host Bayern in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final on Tuesday, but know they are in for a tough task.

The Bavarian giants have not lost in the league this season, culminating in their 24th German title, sealed in Berlin on Tuesday.

The defending European champions last lost a game in December – but according to Moyes, who is well aware of Bayern’s quality – they do have weak areas.

Moyes told United’s official website: “When we drew them, I felt we’d drawn probably the best team in Europe at this present time.

“I think most people would agree with that…Munich are a little bit of a class above the other teams, including Borussia Dortmund.

“We have got a really tough game and know exactly what we are going to get but we’ll try to exploit little bits of weaknesses they have got.”

Bayern have only got stronger under new coach Pep Guardiola this season, with the team’s style of play evolving significantly.

Guardiola’s men, who enjoy large spells of possession and control, had more than 1,000 passes in the 3-1 win at Hertha Berlin that sealed their latest Bundesliga title.

Moyes feels that the Spaniard has benefited greatly from an extended break before taking the Bayern job.

“Pep has taken over a really good team and added a bit himself with his own style. They have already won the Bundesliga quite comfortably so the focus is on the Champions League now,” he added.

“It’s been different (for Guardiola). I am sure he had done a lot of homework and had a year’s preparation before taking the job in Munich.

“He learnt German, watched the games and learned a lot about the players.”
